(1999) - When suave Agent 007 is assigned to protect a beautiful oil heiress he is catapulted into a passionate, adrenaline-charged adventure that pits him against one of his most deadly adversaries: Renard, a ruthless anarchist whose total imperviousness to pain makes him virtually unstoppable. The unrelenting suspense, breathtaking action and sly wit never lets up in this explosively entertaining thriller.

Presenting Major Boothroyd's famous 'Q' JET BOAT. Fifteen 'Q' boats were originally built for the production. The Ian Fleming Foundation purchased this boat from the production company.

The FLYING PARAHAWK is first seen flying over the mountains making an attack run on Bond and Electra King. The Flying Parahawks did not come equipped with the full size Polaris Snowmobile built into the vehicle as this would have made them too heavy to fly. They were also equipped with a different rear propeller configuration. There were originally eighteen Flying and Land Parahawks built for the film. Two of the Flyers were kept by the production company. The IFF purchased one from the production company.

The LAND PARAHAWK is seen driving at breakneck speed across the snow covered trails in hot pursuit of 007 on skis. The Ian Fleming® Foundation bought the only three that were used for the chase scene in the snow from the production company.

This 'background' vehicle is a 1984 RUSSIAN LADA NIVA. It can be seen during 007's arrival at the Kazakhstan desert base where he first meets Christmas Jones. Jones works for the IDA (International Decommission Agency) and Bond poses as a Russian atomic scientist secretly trying to track down Renard.

The truck was supplied for the production by a UK company that specializes in 'background' and 'prominent' workable vehicles of all types for the film industry. This Lada Niva was furnished with a fresh coat of paint, along with all the necessary decals and numbers to make it look as authentic as possible. Even though it can only be seen for a few seconds far off in the distance, it just goes to prove how detail-oriented the art director and crew are for every Bond film. The truck was purchased from a private source in the UK.
